    WE GO

Two young dancers move in circles across the stage like whirl-

    ing dervishes. With an almost maniacal determination they

    repeat circular patterns that turn into an endless game of

    variation and deviation. You see them at the pinnacle of their

    concentration and, ultimately, on the edge of a trance. You

    are gripped by indefatigable attention, are amazed at the

    meticulous structure the dancers appear to follow and hope

    that maybe you can work it out. But what do you eventually

    discover? That there is no fixed structure. We Go is – as the

    dancers themselves put it – a performance in a constant state

    of becoming. It is a stunning visual and sensual experience.

Vincenzo Carta and Benjamin Vandewalle met at PARTS. Last

    year their dance production Inbetween had its premiere in

    Monty.
